How to Buy at Walmart if You Are Outside the US

The discount store chain Walmart was founded in 1962 by Sam Walton in Arkansas. Walton had previously built up a smaller chain of variety stores called Ben Franklin, he wanted to open larger stores that could sell a variety of goods; he decided the best way to do this was to open discount department stores.

In 1962, Walton brought together various suppliers and ordered products from them using simple mimeographed catalogs. The store managers did not have any idea how much merchandise they were selling, so when the first Walmart opened in Arkansas, on July 2, 1962, it did not have any cash registers; instead, several clerks were walking around the store counting the goods on shelves and recording the information on clipboards. Meanwhile, the customer buys and pays for his goods at the front of the store or in a separate checkout area. Because of this system, it was impossible to determine what was selling and what was not selling until all the information had been collected and sent back to the home office for analysis.

How Walmart Customers Can Buy Online if They Live Outside the US

As you might know, Walmart provides goods that are greatly discounted, but unfortunately, individuals who are outside the US can’t buy at Walmart. To get around this issue, you can use VPN Unlimited to let Walmart think that you’re connecting from the US, here’s how to order at Walmart if you are outside the US:

Use VPN to Order Walmart If You Outside US

  1. Create a Virtual Private Network connection on your phone by going to the main screen of the VPN Unlimited app.
  2. You'll need to give your phone permission to add VPN configurations and download a Virtual Private Network profile if you're connecting to a server for the first time. Allow should be chosen.
  3. After that, you'll be taken to a map that displays both your real and virtual IP addresses. If you tap any of these IP addresses, you can see the internet connection type for the selected country and city.
  4. To change your Virtual Private Network location, simply select the location you want to connect to on the map and press the power button.

Now you’re all done! You’re able to buy at Walmart if you are outside the US by changing your location to the US!
